Issued 1905 (printed/used into 1910s–1920s) by State Bank of the Russian Empire during Tsar Nicholas II’s reign; part of 1905–1912 State Credit Notes series. Printed on paper. Size approx. 154 × 99 mm (or 154 × 98 mm in some refs). Main colors: black on green/multicolor underprint.

  • Obverse: Imperial double-headed eagle (official state emblem) at center, denomination “ТРИ РУБЛЯ” (Three Rubles), ornate borders/rosettes, Cyrillic legends, signatures (e.g., Timashev/Konshin/Shipov variants as Управляющий and Кассир).
  • Reverse: Double-headed eagle at top, large “3” in decorative frames, promise text in Cyrillic (gold backing by state assets, equal to gold coin, penalty for counterfeiting).
  • Features: Running serial numbers; watermark: value “3” or similar; no security thread. Withdrawn; not legal tender – classic vintage collectible from late Imperial Russia era.
